MOVIE INSIDER: Rosario Dawson in Down-spiral
“Sounds like Rosario Dawson is taking a walk on the wild side — and then some — in an edgy indie picture she’s set to start shooting in mid-September in New York. Called ‘Descent,’ it’ll have the one-time ‘Josie and the Pussycats’ cutie playing a college girl who appears destined for success. She’s smart, focused, and of course, beautiful. However, tempted into some daring party situations by friends, she discovers she has quite a taste for the taboo.She gets involved with a guy who’s a club DJ and lives in what is described as the surreal world of underground clubs, music, drugs and promiscuity.She also gets involved with a good-looking jock — who proves to have a sadistic side.Sounds like every parent’s nightmare of what could happen when their daughter goes off to school! But, it ought to afford Dawson some great opportunity to show her acting chops — and, uh, more.
