Rosario in New Ad Campaign
Mayor Michael Bloomberg yesterday unveiled a public advertising campaign to raise awareness of domestic violence, and he announced that the city will host a two-week festival in June to call attention to the issue.Beginning next month, graphic posters of battered women and girls will pop up on the walls of subway cars and bus shelters, in the pages of newspapers and magazines, and in nail salons around the city, said Bloomberg during a news conference at City Hall……..It will run from June 12 to June 27 and feature community events and performances by more than 100 actors, writers and directors. They include actresses Salma Hayek, Rosario Dawson and Kathy Bates, and writers Dave Eggers, Nicholas Kristof and Alice Walker.[source]
