And we’re back!

Hey everyone! Happy new year! Hope you didn’t miss us too much while we were gone briefly but we’ve returned with a fabulous new layout courtesy of my good friend Crys, everyone should comment with praises obviously. Anyway, there are a lot of new features and some that are soon to come. First off we’ve moved the avatars/icons to the gallery so they’re much more organized and such, if you would like to donate any please email us with your creations and we will gladly post it. Here at Rosario Online we really want it to be fan based, so we’ve updated the with the fans section with Danielle’s story and we have two more entries soon to come from two other fans. We are planning to create more sections such as a “Why We Love Her” and inspired by reading the forums a section for you to post questions you’d ask her if you had the chance. This is all in development but please I urge you to comment with ideas of things you’d like to see. Justine and I will do our best to make it happen. Speaking of fans, Crys has been great and donated the Rosario Dawson fanlisting to us so please join and promote the listing. We also have officially teamed up with dawson_daily over on livejournal. They are the livejournal representation of this website so please join if you’re on that server, lots of great people over there trust me. Lastly we’ve cleaned our forums of the crazy amounts of spam that was taking over and have appointed Rebecca and Dani79 as moderators. Justine and I are still owners of the site, but Becca and Dani will make sure things stay clean and fun over at the forums. Go join, say hello, meet other fans. It’s a really great place to be. There are still some sections that are coming soon because we’re in the process of writing them (such as revamping the bio), but we didn’t want to stay away for too long. Anyway I hope you all enjoy the new site, let us know what you think! Much loveJoliz & Justine. {nl}{nl}

O’Halloran Praises Dawson’s ‘Regular Guy’ Humour

Actor BRIAN O’HALLORAN has lavished praise on his CLERKS II co-star ROSARIO DAWSON, insisting other actresses muted for the part wouldn’t have fitted in with the film’s lewd humour. The 41-year-old grew nervous when executive producer HARVEY WEINSTEIN gave director KEVIN SMITH a surprising list of actresses to be considered for the main female role, but his fears resided when Dawson arrived on set and joined in with the film series’ running gag about a sex act performed on a donkey. He recalls, “We were kind of nervous in the beginning, because Harvey Weinstein had given Kevin a list of women. Kevin wanted to do the film with the four guys from the original and unknowns for the other roles, but Harvey was like, ‘Absolutely not. You’ve got to give me a name actress at least.’ “But some of the names were really weird – like RACHEL WEISZ. I can just imagine what she would have been like: ‘Are you serious? A donkey show? Am I being Punk’d?’ “When we were on set, (co-star) JEFF (ANDERSON) asked her, ‘Rosario, seriously, how much are they paying you? Why did you say yes?’ And she said, ‘I wanted to see the donkey show.’ We were like, ‘That’s our chick.’” [ SOURCE ]{nl}{nl}

A columnist takes a look back at memorable chats

Someone asked me recently, “Who was your favorite celebrity interview?”I don’t have a single favorite. The stars I liked best were the ones who didn’t act like stars. They were always the most secure, most talented, most likable, and had the most interesting stuff to say. So, in no particular order, here are some behind-the-scenes looks at some of my favorite celebrities.ROSARIO DAWSON didn’t make it all about her when I interviewed her this year on the set of “Descent,” an indie flick directed by her longtime pal Talia Lugacy. She made sure her director and producer, Jeff Mazzola, were in on the conversation about this little revenge thriller revolving around a date rape.”It’s not like the role of the pretty girl who gets the guy at the end,” Dawson said. “This is dark. This is tough.”Traffic-stopping beautiful, with cheekbones like the Jersey Palisades, you have to admire this lady, who was discovered on a lower East Side stoop by a casting agent and cast in 1995’s “Kids.” Since then she has appeared in big-budget flicks like “Men in Black II,” “Alexander,” “Sin City” and “Rent,” and still lends time and star power to a little indie film with a friend.BY DENIS HAMILLMcClatchy Newspapers[ SOURCE ]{nl}{nl}
