Lindsay Lohan, Rosario Dawson and Channing Tatum have joined the cast of grandma gang comedy Poor Things, toplined by Shirley MacLaine and Olympia Dukakis with Ash Baron Cohen directing.Variety says MacLaine is also producing with Rob Hickman through his Still Rolling Productions. Shooting is starting Wednesday.Trent Haaga’s script was inspired by real news events and crime scandals surrounding recent arrests and convictions of elderly women for various “grandma gang” exploits, which have included scams and cons involving drug sales, insurance fraud and murder.[ SOURCE ]{nl}{nl}

“Suffice to say that Rosario Dawson’s indie Descent,{nl}which premiered last night in the Tribeca Film Festival, is hard to{nl}take on many levels. It is not easy to watch the lovely, fierce Lower{nl}East Side native being date-raped by a Waspy frat god who calls her a{nl}”baboon” and a “nigger with attitude,” nor is it easy to contain one’s{nl}confusion when the arty-cum-clunky pic morphs into gay porn in its{nl}final twenty minutes. “It’s a rough ride, and people come out of it{nl}either loving or hating it,” said Dawson, who’s in town for the{nl}festival from Los Angeles, where she’s lived now nearly the past two{nl}years.
