Happy birthday, Rosario!
I wanted to finally send you a message and I felt this was the perfect occasion. You are such an inspiration for girls – especially me. I am Puerto Rican and live in Connecticut. Yep, I have a relatively suckish home life. No money, no new clothes, barely any food, and big dreams.
I discovered you when I first watched RENT with one of my best friends. She felt it would make me feel better about life. Boy was she right. Your performance was spectacular. I fall asleep to you belting out “There’s only us/Only tonight/We must let go to know what’s right/No other course/No other way/No day but today…” each night. Your voice has become the thing that comforts me most.
I’ve watched several interviews of yours and your situation has inspired me so much. You make me feel like people with my background really can succeed, unlike people around here make it seem. You are everything I’ve dreamed to be. From spectacular actress to activist? (and amazing singer? ;]) That’s so wonderful in my opinion. I am probably one of your biggest fans.
You’ve also helped me through middle school shit. I dealt with tons of anxiety and depression through the past few years. Living in the future was my life. Some things you have said surely have made me change my ways.
I wish I could have had the time to make you a cute craft or something, but I do have a video from a friend of mine and a crappy little card. I want for you to have a wonderful day and may God bless you! You have made more of an impact on my life than anyone else. Thank you so much! You are a true life savor.
Mucho amor xo

Hey Rosario,
Just wishing you a Happy Birthday and Cinco de Mayo!!! I was so happy to finally have met you a couple of years ago. I always wanted you to meet my girl Becky who favors you quite a bit and once we lost contact I met you. That made my day, year, etc and now I am the envy of alot of my friends (no kidding).
Anyway I want to thank you for being such the most down to earth Actress I ever met and I think that is what makes us fans love you as much as your beauty. I remember when you were trying to get people to vote last year going door to door and people were like aren’t you that actress Rosario Dawson and you were like “yea but today I am just Rosario trying to get everyone out to vote”. That is deep and that is what makes you so awesome.
Anyway to keep it fairly short I wanted to say happy birthday again and attached a few photos of your award show, the letter you read that I was so nervous about but you ended up being touched by it and some fliers I did for my friend Mica Valdez who host events about black and latino connections and struggles. We thought of you throughout each flier because you share both ethnicities amongst Irish, etc. Anyway if you are ever in the Bay Area again we would love to help promote Votolatino with you as part of her events.
Happy Birthday,
Sven7

Hey Rosario,
We’re all very proud of you and your career. Keep representing by just doing what you do. It’s been many years since I met you at Central Park when you saw my band (then) Electro Fetus perform. You are as beautiful and sincere in person as you appear on screen. God Bless, and continued success.
