Clearing up some matters

There have been a few emails sent in to the website asking if Rosario is on Twitter, Myspace, or any other social networking site so we just wanted to clear the air here.

Rosario does not have a personal twitter, myspace, etc. The only social networking spaces that are connected to this website are the forum and the facebook page that is listed on the left. So this person and countless other myspace profiles that claim to be her are not. If you have any more questions regarding the matter feel free to comment below or send us an email.

Also there are a lot of things happening behind the scenes to make the website better, we’ve taken in suggestions you have sent us – including the most popular: new photos – and are incorporating it into the new design. If there is anything you want to see please let us know.

Thank you for your continued support!

Fans Listen Up!

Rosario Dawson’s 30th birthday is coming up soon on May 9th and I know many of you continuously write to the site in hopes of sending along a message to her. Well now here’s your chance!

Send in your emails, videos, drawings, anything you can come up with to rosarioonline@gmail.com by May 8th (the day before her birthday) in order to have your well wishes sent her way. As with anything we just have a few guidelines:

1.Write “Birthday Message For Rosario” in the subject line of the email to ensure we see it.

2. We’re only accepting things via email because frankly we would hate to lose all your hard work due to the post office.

3. This is only regarding her birthday, we do not handle requests for appearances, scripts, treatments, etc. We’ve stated that many times before on this site, however it doesn’t hurt to repeat it. Any messages that do not adhere to this will be rejected.

4. Speaking of… no self promotions. This is not the venue for it and it will be rejected.

5. We’ll be sure to highlight messages over the course of the day, however if you wish for yours to remain private just let us know in the email and we’ll respect your wishes.

6. Keep things respectful folks. No need to be lewd, the staff will reject it. Same rules apply for videos as well.

7. If you want to make a video message please upload it to youtube (or any video service of choice)  and email it to us.

8. Be creative as you’d like! We encourage it.

Thanks so much for your continued support of the site and we look forward to seeing your messages!

Rosario Dawson Proud to be a Woman

Actress Rosario Dawson is our next wonder woman to answer our questions about the inspirations in her own life.  Read on to hear what makes her “PTBW” (Proud to be a Woman!)

What inspires you? Music, art, kindness, passion, travel, sunsets, flowers, wisdom, teaching, learning, rainbows in the clouds, beauty, love, community, stories, humor, honesty, imperfection, rainy days and so much more. I’ve a lust for life!

What makes you proud to be a woman? I love sisterhood, the feminine mystique, the idea of mother earth vs father time. Women possess a unique connection to life that exemplifies endurance, strength, ability, and creativity. I look forward to women supporting each other as leaders and claiming more of their power.

You are not forgotten. I honor and celebrate my mother, my grandmother and all those women whose love, work and sacrifices make my life possible. I thank you Diane for being one of those women. Your openness and tenacity are such an inspiration to me. You are a true wonder woman.

Five Favorite Films with Rosario Dawson

Rosario Dawson is an actress that seems equally comfortable working on smaller, independent productions (Kids, Clerks II, and her current film Explicit Ills) as she does big-budget studio blockbusters (Men in Black II, Sin City, Eagle Eye). She recently took some time out of her busy schedule to talk with RT about her favorite movies, reveal a bet she made with Quentin Tarantino on the set of Death Proof, and admit to knowing that some movies were going to be bad even before shooting began (i.e. The Adventures of Pluto Nash).Read on for Rosario Dawson’s Five Favorite Films, and catch her in the indie drama Explicit Ills, a New York-set drama helmed by actor and first-time director Mark Webber also starring Paul Dano, Lou Taylor Pucci, and Naomie Harris. Explicit Ills is in limited release this week.

Sergio Pizzorno on Rosario Dawson

Kasabian star Sergio Pizzorno was “s***ting himself” when he recorded a track with Rosario Dawson.

The guitarist admits the actress – who he refers to as “the prostitute from ‘Sin City’ ” – was not his first choice for a collaboration on the band’s upcoming track ‘West Rider/Silver Bullet’ but was pleasantly surprised by her singing talents when they met in New York.

He said: “I didn’t even know if she could sing. The obvious thing would be to get an English girl and have that English rose kind of vibe. Like Keira Knightley, that kind of thing. I thought Rosario would be interesting, but she’s the prostitute from ‘Sin City’. I was s***ting myself in the studio, but she sounded incredible.”

Sergio also said working with the ‘Seven Pounds’ star left him star struck with her stories of glitzy Hollywood parties. He added: “She later told me that she went to Quentin Tarantino’s birthday and played it for him and he loved it. “That’s when you sit at home in Leicester tucking into you beans on toast going, ‘F***ing hell man, what’s going on?’ “

Rosario Dawson on the Twilight Series

dawson_pattinson.jpg“I just read the first book, it’s ridiculous, it’s like crack cocaine. I read it for 10 hours straight until I finished it,” Dawson, who will appear in Parts Per Billion with Twilight’s vampire heartthrob Robert Pattinson, told PEOPLE at the Seven Pounds premiere in Hollywood Monday.

“I actually made a vow to myself not to buy the second, third and fourth book until Thursday, because that’s when I’ll be done with all this press, and I’ll be able to read over Christmas vacation.” But, she adds, the addiction will cut into some quality family time. “My dad is going to hate me, because I spend zero time with him, reading these books,” she said. “It’s like Judy Blume and Anne Rice had a child and made this book. I’m so attracted.”

What else is the 29-year-old stunner attracted to? Authenticity.  “You don’t want to fall in love with something that’s not real,” she explained when asked what she looks for in a man. “You have to also have compassion and self-love.”  While she may be attracted to the “mosters” in Stephanie Meyer’s books, Dawson says some kinds of love just scare her. “It’s not healthy. That whole idea of you complete me disturbs me. Like, well, if you complete me, that’s kind of a two-headed monster. Isn’t that kind of scary?”

Her solution for lasting love? “To be honest with each other.”

American Voices – Spirit of Revolution at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica

While there were many messages in the show, “American Voices – Spirit of Revolution” was focused on our founding fathers, origins of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence and freedom of speech. The stage came to life as historical messages and performances brought tears to many eyes. With impressive acoustics, the design is clearly state-of-the-art, offering a full theatre experience.

A one-day only event, the performance will be broadcast on KUSC, 91.5 FM, Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 10 pm.
